Women's Health Physio Blog
Welcome to my Women’s Health Physio Blog that was previously known as “Thought’s Behind the Thumbs”. It started as an outlet for reflection on my own progress as a physiotherapist and to see how best I can improve at what I do. I believe in a bio psychosocial approach to treating each and every individual and the earlier posts in this blog delves into what I believe this looks like. It gives a brief insight into how I work with individuals to facilitate movement that feels good, empowers them to do more and has them feeling more confident within our bodies.
In the more recent posts, you will also find practical tips and advice on the management of common conditions I come across in clinic to help support you on your journey back to moving comfortably and confidently. There is also information on women’s health appointments and what they might look like. I hope this might put you at a little bit of ease before your first session.
I will be updating the blog fortnightly over the next few months. Each week will take a new focus or might expand on a previous post. If you are looking for further information on women’s health physio for different conditions, check back here to see if I have it covered. If you would like for me to write about anything in specific give me a shout. If you find a post or article particularly helpful, I’d love to hear from you, please feel free to give me a comment.
